Care in the Home

Person Centre Care Services provide a range of domiciliary services and packages that can be tailor-made to suit individuals requirements for those living in Tameside and High Peak. We offer bespoke and services and care dependent on individual need, we never treat everyone the same and always make sure that the care we do provide is a suitable and safe level for those involved.

There are very few of us who can say we enjoy cleaning our homes, often a break from it can work wonders on our quality of life. We offer a tailored cleaning service for as much or as little as required. Washing and ironing is often difficult when mobility is limited. We offer in home or out of home laundry services, so that clothes are always clean and well presented. We often overlook the amount of effort required to do the weekly shop. We offer a shopping service where we can pick up all the shopping required, and we also offer accompanied visits to the shops. There are many aspects of staying in our own homes that can become difficult, and if there is anything else that you may wish to discuss we'd be happy to help.

24 Hour Care

24 hour supported living as the name suggests is where we can provide a step down from traditional residential care and keep people in their own homes. It is often beneficial if someone is returning from hospital or just in need of additional support following any difficulties. Supported living can also provide a direct replacement to full time nursing or residential care, and has the advantage of keep a loved one in a familiar and comfortable environment. Again all our care is tailored bespoke to the requirements. We would be happy to discuss any requirements you may have and offer our support and guidance accordingly.

Personal Care

Some people may struggle dressing themselves as they get older, or often may just require assistance to get ready for the day. We offer help in this regard whereby a carer will help with getting dressed for the day as well as getting ready for bed at night. Even fully mobile people can sometimes struggle with bathing and keeping clean, people with limited mobility may struggle even more. We provide discrete and professional services to help people bathe and keep themselves clean. It can be a struggle sometimes to remember to take prescribed medication and some medication may require additional assistance.

We are on hand to help with medication issues and can assist also with visits to other health professionals. Social Care

Sometimes we go to places where we may not feel comfortable, and having a friendly face to see and a friendly hand to hold can make all the difference. For instance we can arrange visits to doctors surgeries, hospitals or even the local pub. Many people can feel lonely in their own homes. We can visit and keep people company in the comfort of their own homes. We have found that this service helps people to stay in their own homes for longer. Many people take reading the news paper or a book for granted. It is unfortunate that as we get older our eye sight may not be as good as it once was.

Keeping someone company by going through a magazine or letters can often help people continue to have a high quality of life. Staying in touch with friends and family can often become difficult, we offer a letter (or email!) writing service for people to stay in touch with their loved ones. Paying For Care

Direct Payments

If your local authority assesses you as needing care it must offer you the option of direct payments as an alternative to arranging the service for you. An increasing number of people use this payment from their local authority to buy in our services as they feel it gives them more control and choice.

Attendance Allowance

Attendance Allowance, sometimes referred to as AA, is a tax-free benefit for people aged 65 or over who need help with personal care because they are physically or mentally disabled. For further information on the above contact your local council or see the Direct.gov website.
